Tell us about your Intuit career journey
I started my career at Intuit over five years ago as a Sr Data Analyst on the QuickBooks Payroll team. At that time, Intuit was shifting its strategic focus from QuickBooks being the source of truth for SMB's books to being the source of truth for their business. QB Payroll was a key part of that strategy, and I was analyst #2 on the team building the foundational analytics to execute on our Go-to-market strategy. I developed self-serve analytics dashboards, experimentation playbooks, business performance diagnosis engines, and personalization & targeting models.
After spending a couple of years on the QB Payroll team, I took a mobility move to lead analytics for a new team, CRM Analytics, to drive Product-Led Growth and Personalization across QB Ecosystem services.
Recently, I expanded my scope to lead data analytics for two new initiatives that will unlock the potential of our Intuit ecosystem of products.
It’s a truly rewarding experience to learn from different teams across Intuit.
What do you look for when interviewing data candidates?
I look for candidates who can solve ambiguous business problems with strategic thinking and analytical rigor. I also assess technical skills like data analysis using SQL/Python and experimentation.
What do you do in a typical work week?
My typical work week includes coaching my team to improve their craft, providing thought leadership to product and marketing partners with our growth strategy, helping improve productivity across the analytics team, and participating in fun activities to build strong connections with colleagues.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?
The best advice I've ever been given is to embrace failure as I move from an individual contributor role to a people manager role. This advice has been relevant to me with new challenges and learnings daily.
What do you like about working at Intuit?
I appreciate that Intuit operates by its values of Customer Obsession in building our products and Stronger Together in creating a respectful work environment that encourages diversity of thoughts.
